Terms of Service

Homies is a household management platform designed to help you organize tasks, events, and information. We provide tools to sync calendars, manage to-do lists, and an AI assistant to help run your home. You can use Homies in the app and, if your household chooses, directly from your WhatsApp group.

• Eligibility: You must be at least 16 years old to use Homies.
• Security: You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• Responsibility: You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

• Household Visibility: Homies is built for collaboration. By joining a "Household," you acknowledge that any Content (tasks, events, notes) you create within that Household is visible to all other members of that Household.
• Your Data: You retain ownership of the content you post. You grant us a license to host, display, and process this content solely to provide the Service to you and your household.

Our service integrates with third-party tools like Google Calendar and Todoist.

• Availability: We do not control these third parties. If Google Calendar goes down or changes its API, features in Homies may stop working. We are not liable for these interruptions.
• Your Permissions: You choose which integrations to connect. You can disconnect them at any time in your settings.

You can connect Homies to a WhatsApp group so it can help your household from the chat you already use.

• Adding Homies: Only add Homies to a group you are entitled to manage. If you add Homies, you are responsible for making the other members aware that Homies is present and for how it is used, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
• When it acts: Homies only replies when it is mentioned or replied to. It processes new messages to provide the service and does not keep a durable transcript of your conversation (see the Privacy Policy).
• Scheduled messages: Homies sends scheduled messages (such as a weekly brief or reminders) only if your household opts in, and you can pause them at any time.
• WhatsApp's own terms: Homies connects through a third-party WhatsApp provider. Your use of WhatsApp remains subject to WhatsApp's own terms, and we are not liable for interruptions caused by WhatsApp or that provider.

You agree not to use Homies to:

• Post illegal, abusive, or harassing content.
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or overload our servers.
• Use the API in a way that violates the rate limits or policies of our third-party providers.

• By You: You can delete your account at any time via the app settings.
• By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if legally required to do so.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• "As Is": Homies is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• No Liability: We are not liable for any indirect damages, lost data, missed events, or household disputes arising from your use of the app. (e.g., We are not responsible if you miss a flight because the app didn't sync).

We may update these terms as we add new features. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Homies after changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of The Netherlands. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of The Netherlands.
